Can you post the rakhi thread with the letter?
No - we produce and post letters, not parcels, so the thread has to travel separately. Most people courier the rakhi and order the letter to arrive within a day or two of it. Two arrivals actually work in your favour: the surprise is separate from the ritual.
How do I time the letter with the courier?
Order the letter about a week before Rakhi; it's produced within a day and typically takes 3-6 days by tracked post. Send the courier on a similar schedule and you'll land inside the same few days - close enough, and neither needs to arrive first.
What should the letter say if the gift already says it?
The gift can't say anything - that's the gap. Use the letter for the specific things: one memory, one acknowledgement, one promise. Keep it to a page. It doesn't need to justify the gift, it needs to be the part the gift can't do.
Should I choose printed or handwritten?
Printed is your words set in a warm type on 100gsm cream paper. Handwritten is a real person writing it out by hand, in ink, on the same paper. For Rakhi - a festival that is entirely about a physical object - handwritten is the one people keep in the cupboard with the old rakhis.
Will my letter reach before Raksha Bandhan?
